WHAT IF YOU ARE NEW TO .NET WORLD
most of the books about Interoperability bettwen COM and .NET for the programmer who worked with COM for a long time, but what will happen if you are learning .NET now and you don't know anything about COM (because you are new to programming world),so this book (the only one in the market) for the new developers and for expert developers too,it's easy to understand as all Mr.Andrew books, for me if they sell the book for 200 $ i will buy it,because of the way of explainning the subjects,if you want something about COM and .NET and how they work together FOR YOU without pain then go to the nearest bookshop and get this book now.

A Must Read for Anyone doing Interop Programming
Like Andrew's "C# and the .NET Platform", this book combines an excellent technical overview with nitty gritty examples that detail how to use these technologies in your own development. We followed the book's step-by-step instructions to create a CCW that allows us to use the NET framework's XML digital signature support in our existing unmanaged code. Try cobbling up an XMLDSIG implementation on your own! I can't imagine anyone attempting to use Interop technology without a reference like this.

The Complete Win At Whist
Published in Paperback by Bonus Books (31 December, 2000)
Authors: Joseph D. Andrews and Joe Andrews
Average review score:

A Classic Game - A Classic Book
"WIN AT WHIST" by Joe Andrews is the most complete book on the game of Whist since Edmund Hoyle first wrote about the game in the 1700's. This book covers all of the bases with a nice history of the game, and then continues with a full reference to the many variations which have evolved. There is generous mention of the popular "Kitty with Jokers" Bid Whist Tournament game which has been promoted by Dennis Barmore and his "sharksinc" live event tour. Mr. Andrews has listed a full glossary of terms and definitions, and finishes his book with a sampling of several illustrative hands. Each hand has a teaching/instructional theme. Although there are a few other published Whist pamphlets/books out there which are quite good, "WIN AT WHIST" is at the head of the class. If you want to excel in high-level competitive play, by all means check out this book!

"The Complete Win At Whist" is a Winner!
My name is Dennis J Barmore. I am the Founder of The National Card Sharks, Inc. Bid Whist Organization. We represent thousands of Bid Whist players throughout the USA. ...

I have just finished reading this book, and it is a must for beginning and advanced players of whist. The narrative is written in clear concise words that are easy to understand.

The sample hands in the book are excellently crafted and are legitimate teaching aids that can enhance the skills of players on all levels.

There have been many times when people have asked our Bid Whist players, "How Do You Play Whist? Needless to say that is an impossible question to verbally answer. Thank goodness there is a book out there that we can now point to.

If you are at all interested in learning the game, or purchasing a gift for that whist playing friend or relative, this book will serve as a unique gift idea.

Bid Whist from A to Z
My bridge Partner and I decided that we wanted a new challenge of learning a different card game. We learned that there was a Bid Whist tournament being played in Atlanta and we had only one day to learn. We sat down and began reading the book together. It was so well written...so clear to understand...that within 24 hours we played in that tournament. We paid a $40 entry fee and felt confident enough about what we had learned. We did not win the tournament but we had an above average score and had a marvelous time.

The next time I played was in a foursome in my home -- I played with a stranger and we won!!!

An Excellent book for anyone wanting to get started playing Bid Whist or for someone wishing to sharpen their skills.

I have already personally delivered copies of this book to players and would recommend it to any card playing addict.

The Condominium Bluebook- 2000
Published in Paperback by Piedmont Press (01 January, 2000)
Authors: Branden E. Bickel and D. Andrew Sirkin
Average review score:

A must read
I am a consultant on the operations of Common Interest Developments and have the current as well as the past 4 editions of this publication on my shelf. It is invaluable to me in my daily work as I try to assist my clients with the many complex issues that Homeowners Associations and their Boards face. Annual updates of this publication allow you to always have the most current information at your fingertips.

Everyone swears by this
I was just recently elected to the board of directors in our association and a novice at it. This book has been referred to me by many people who have served on a board of directors and or are in property management.

Essential reading for California Condo owners
I am a licensed private investigator. Finding facts and doing legal research is nothing new to me.

Recently investigating a fraud and Board of Direcotor malfeasance case, I discovered that condominiums fall under several legal codes -- at least in California.

The Condo Bluebook brings together not just the law but practical tips on how a condo Association SHOULD be run.

The District Attorney even asked if I were a specialist in this area because I had found laws which allowed him to easily bring to justice the Board members and their corrupt property manager.

If just one of the homeowners had read this book, the problems would have been discovered much earlier, and perhaps the embezzlement even would have been prevented. I would not even consider buying a condo without reading this book cover to cover.

Cooking for Cher
Published in Paperback by Fireside (September, 1997)
Authors: Andrew Ennis, Andy Ennis, Cher, and Joan Nielsen
Average review score:

Healthy eating and wonderful cooking!
This is by far my favorite cookbook! I've tried all 75 recipies in this book and loved them all! I hope Andy Ennis writes another cookbook on Cher's favorite foods!

Excellent, creative recipes with all the health benefits.
I don't usually purchase celebrity cookbooks, but this is simply a must for people who want low-fat, great tasting food. The recipes are easy-to-follow, the ingredients readily available, and the dishes are fabulous. Cher's chef, Andy, also provides a witty inside-look into life with Cher.

These surprised me: they're simple and good.
I saw this at the library, checked it out, and now I'm buying it -- and I don't usually buy celebrity cookbooks. EVERY recipe is good, sensible, and something I can actually prepare and eat! All my favorite ingredients are included; I plan to cook my way through the entire book.

Dark Passions: Love Is a Many Splintered Thing
Published in Paperback by iUniverse.com (August, 2000)
Author: Andrew Ciulla
Average review score:

review from a second reading of Dark Passions
I wrote a positive review of Dark Passions in another forum.
Upon reading it a second time I was struck by the talents of this writer I had missed. A.J. Ciulla gets into the mind of his
female protagonist with a knowledge beyond the ken of most male writers. He writes about a specific neighborhood, the details
in his narration make the novel a mirror of what the early decades of the twentieth century was all about. Then I was struck by a flash of memory, of James Farrell's trilogy of Studs

Lonegan, required reading of my youth. That dealt with a specific
neighborhood too. I reread that book too. The preoccupation of young men with sex is evident in both books. Studs and Jazzy are
different. God gave Jazzy looks, talent, and intelligence- Studs, a pathetic figure in a life of failures. Where Studs fantacized Jazzy was promiscuous. Jazzy had the benefit of a
wise and courageous mother. Jennie Rhinehart was a character I didn't appreciate on first reading. In her quest for self- worth
she became somewhat of a flapper though a celibate widow. Jazzy
too sought self-worth. He worked hard in the gym and became a
proficient boxer. The locale of the story is Rochester, New York. Interesting characters abound in Dark Passions-a gambling
mayor,a developing diva, a pedophile with the keys to the nurses quarters, a kindly poolroom owner, an alcoholic district attorney, a beauty from the Tuscarora reservation- so many I fail to list them all. My neighbor also read Dark Passions. She comes from Rochester, knows the neighborhood in question and
assures me there is more truth than poetry in what is narrated.
Makes me want to see that neighborhood. In conclusion the dialog is brilliant and I find the author a font of knowledge.

Dark Passions
My wife bought this novel. It was sitting on our table in the family room and I started to read the back cover. I opened the book and glanced over a few pages. I found myself reading each and every page. Word for word. I tried to put the book down and couldn't. We have never heard of this author until now. Where has this great writer been? We hope there will be a sequel to this novel. I want to read more about Jazzy.

Dark Passions: Brilliant!
A.J.Ciulla has once again outdone himself . His first book "Papa Was A Riot "is an exceptional example. The characters in "Dark Passions" are so realistic. I read this book in 2 nights. If people out there like Mario Puzo's books then they will love "Dark Passions". I'd love to read a sequel. That "Jazzy" character... I can't get him out of my mind. Great writing!

Dark Sister : Sorcerer's Love Story, A
Published in Paperback by Perennial Press (October, 1996)
Author: Lynn V. Andrews
Average review score:

Lynn Andrews' books and work
I am a 4th year student at Lynn Andrews' school and I am living in Germany. I read all of Lynn's books that are very precious and important to me. The books and the school led me to a completely new and sacred vision of life. I am very grateful for my experiences with Lynn's and the Sisterhood of the Shields' work.

Passionate Betrayal
This book was an amazing discovery of spiritual forces which even though can commence from the place of power and wisdom can if not vigilant become a force of darkness and sorcery. It is a lesson in forgiveness and the importance of protecting your spirit self from the dangers of evil forces which disguise themselves well. This book was particularly relevant in my work with others and a timely reminder that sometimes not all things are as they seem and that spirituality has two directions and not all spiritual people are working towards light. I found the writing visionary as are all Lynn's books but also show us her vulnerable and sometimes niave nature in her belief that we are all here to serve for the greater goodness. Could not put the book down until it was finished and recommend it to anyone who is in the healing or spiritual realm.

Find love, find the light.
Dark Sister is another winner for Lynne Andrews. Lynne and her teachers, Agnes and Ruby, explore the dark mysteries of the soul. I enjoyed this tale of a fallen sister, Sin Corazon and her powerful journey from the dark side of sorcery to the light of the Sisterhood of the Shields. Lynne has shown us that through love a person can conquer the darkness we all carry within us. Lynne also explains that we all can find and peace and tranquillity we search for through love. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for the key that will open the door that leads to greater self knowledge and inner tranquillity.

A Great Read
This book will make you laugh outloud. If you haven't already done some of these crazy things, you thought about doing them. I am ordering more for friends. I love my copy. Money well spent.

So funny
This is a great book and contains many funny "tips" like

Stand between Oprah and a buffet table. Send your son alone on a camping trip with a priest Plant kudzu in your graden Name a previous boss who fired you as a reference Give a kitchen appliance to your wife for Valentine's day Bend over in a Prison shower Play "Truth or Dare" with Evel Kneviel Go Rollerblading blindfolded in San Francisco Offer to hold a nervous Arab's suitcase on an airplane

There are many others in this great book

as funny as it gets!
Every single one of these "350 foolproof ways to totally screw up your life" are hilarious and will make you laugh out loud. Most times you expect to wade through a bunch of lame quotes and jokes before you reach a couple of good ones, but not here! Every single page will make you literally laugh out loud. You won't put the book down! This book definately ranks among the best of the joke books.

Disney Days 2002 Day-To-Day Calendar
Published in Paperback by Andrews McMeel Publishing (15 July, 2001)
Author: Andrews McMeel Publishing
Average review score:

Need it to start my day!!
I love to have my coffee and my quiet time, and flip the next page of the calender over to see what new picture is for the day. It may sound foolish but I have had disney calenders on my desk for years and look forward to reading each one. I havent noticed repeats for there shouldn't be with so many different movies but I like to see if my favorites come up for the day. I think it is also just a daily reminder of my youth and brings a smile to my face when I see an old one come up LOL, and I can remember it!!

Do they ever disappoint?
Disney Days Calendar 2001 upholds the standard of excellence established by those of previous years. Anyone who loves Disney will love having a beautiful new image to look at each day. The pictures are wonderful to use for making homemade cards or postcards, and with some double-sided tape, the little black and white flip-animation pictures on the bottom-right can be turned into cute sealing stickers for the backs of envelopes. Enjoy!

Gorgeous!
Sigh...if only they made a calendar for people like me who like the Disney animated features but not the short cartoons, life would be perfect. :) Just kidding, but it would be closer. Still, this is a beautiful calendar, and you can cut the prettiest pictures out after you're done with them and put them up somewhere nice! ESPECIALLY not to be missed if you're a fan of Sleeping Beauty, but if you're looking for Hercules shots, you'll be puzzled by the complete absence of Megara in this calendar.

Downsize Your Debt: How to Take Control of Your Personal Finances
Published in Paperback by Penguin USA (Paper) (April, 1993)
Author: Andrew Feinberg
Average review score:

Easy reading, comprehensive, intelligent ... even humorous.
Whether you're shopping for a loan, trying to refinance your mortgage, or hoping to avoid the pitfalls of car loans, credit cards, even loans between friends and family -- this guide will save you money.

A book well worth the time you will spend reading it.
As a debt counselor, most of my day is spent relating with and trying to assist those in debt. This book has been invaluable to my own education and the education of my clients. I am indebted to Feinberg for such a well written "insider's view" of the credit industry.

Readable, entertaining, comprehensive
In my quest for the Holy Grail of books about personal debt and financial mastery, this book is a real treasure!
With a sharp sense of humour and a willingness to explore not just the practical but psychological aspects of the debt culture and "perma-debt" -- his term for those of us who get into endless credit card slavery -- this book reads almost as well as the mystery thriller I devoured last weekend.
And no, I'm not being cut into the profits in exchange for this gushing review.

Dries Van Noten: Shape, Print, and Fabric (Cutting Edge)
Published in Hardcover by Watson-Guptill Pubns (September, 1999)
Author: Andrew Tucker
Average review score:

A good intro/background to one of the best designers around
I am a big fan of Dries Van Noten's clothes. Naturally I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. It gives a good introduction to Dries as a designer, and what he considers important in his work and the industry. Knowing where his ideas are coming from and how they are executed makes you appreciate his designs more. Andrew Tucker did a very good job at portraiting a very talented designer who has a very loyal fan base, but not necessarily a household name for many. The book has less to do with decribing his designs, but more to do with Dries' creative processes. Highly recommended for anybody who's a fan of his work, or just interested in fashion!

Dries Van Noten : Shape, Print, and Fabric
I think this book is very informativ, because it isn't a "pop" book about the glamour of fashion, but a book that concentrats on what has to be more important design and all its aspects(which appears explicit in the title).....And what can I say Dries' design is after my opinion some of the most innovative, yet without being to far out!
